Injection treatments

The active agent of dermal fillers is hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance composed of a long chain of sugar molecules, and is naturally found throughout our bodies, where it acts as a binding, lubricating, and protective agent. As we age, we lose a significant amount of our body's hyaluronic acid. It breaks down more rapidly as your skin ages and simultaneously, your body is starting to manufacture less HA. That is why our skin starts to lose its elasticity and makes it dry. The power of the treatments lays in the hyaluronic acid's excellent capacity to attract moisture and retain water, making an immediate volume-boosting effect and well hydrated skin. Hyaluronic acid is naturally broken down by the body over time, so the results of the treatment does not give permanent results. The effects last from six months to a year, depending on the used product, the age of the client, the elasticity of the skin to start with, overall appearance and lifestyle choices. Typically, the effects last longer after the follow-up treatments and usually your skin requires less dermal filler as well. 

Injection treatments with HA can be used:

• reduce the appearance of unwanted lines and wrinkles
• highlight and resculpt facial contours
• lip fillers

The contraindications of the injection treatments are blood coagulation diseases, skin diseases or inflammation on the treated skin area, hypertrophic scarring, auto-immune diseases and hearts impulse conduction disorder. Also if you've had recently a flu or other respiratory infection, the treatment can not be done. We recommend not to have a treatment during a cure of antibiotics.

If you've had herpes in less than one month prior to your appointment, the needling of the skin around the mouth, may activate it again. This is why we recommend taking a prevention treatment. 

Some anti-inflammatory drugs, like acetylsalicylic acid or ibuprofen (Aspirin, Disperin, Burana), Omega 3-fatty acids, E-vitamin and some natural products, may increase bruising or bleeding on the injected spot. Try to avoid the use of these products 1-2 weeks prior the appointment and right after it.

HArmonyCa

HArmonyCa is a dual-effect hybrid injectable, that uses Hyaluronic Acid (HA) and Calcium Hydroxyapatite (CaHA). Hyaluronic Acid provides an immediate lifting, and Calcium Hydroxyapatite activates collagen and elastin production. Harmony Ca is designed for individuals, who are concerned with a loss of facial structure associated with aging, and it's perfect for tightening the face, providing an instant lift and stimulating body's own collagen production in the skin.

Most of the injection treatments include only Hyaluronic Acid, which brings an immediate plumping effect, but doesn't boost or support the bodies own collagen production. When the HA dermal filler has dissolved, also its filling and lifting effects disappear. This makes HArmonyCa so unique as a treatment, because it includes substance which also enhances skins own collagen production. 

The results of the treatment are visible right away, but the boosting of the collagen production is more time consuming and the results get better over time. The final outcome can be seen in about 2-3 months.

Viscoderm® Hydrobooster

Viscoderm hydrobooster is a stabilized Hyaluronic Acid injectable. This product has a unique hydro-stretch dual action, which consists of deep hydration, improving radiance, smoothness and elasticity, while the stretching effect works on superficial lines and wrinkles plumping and stretching the skin on targeted areas of the face. The treatment involves multiple tiny injections. 

This treatment is best suitable for:

• The skin around the eyes
• Forehead lines
• Perioral wrinkles such as lip lines
• Horizontal Décolleté lines

The procedure involves multiple tiny injections. Before the procedure is possible to apply an anaestethic cream to the skin in order to numb it.

We recommend to complete the second treatment inside two months from the first one.

Profhilo STRUCTURA hyaluronic acid treatment (90mg/ 2ml) is a product made with patented technology, the goal of which is to renew and preserve facial fatty tissue, as well as improve the quality of the skin.

The treatment

The treatment uses a Bio-Aesthetic Points (BAP) technique which improves the effectiveness of the Profhilo body on areas, where the skin has lost its laxity and firmness. The treatment doesn't require any preparations. The injection points are mapped out on the area and the procedure is quick and highly tolerated. Profhilo® Body – Aftercare

Profhilo® Figura Body patches are a vital part of the treatment. The customer is advised to change a new patch on the treated area inside 2-3 hours after the treatment.

Additionally, you'll get a Profhilo® Figura Body lotion to use in between the two clinical treatments. It is a multi-active deeply hydrating and remodeling lotion, making the skin more toned, firm and elastic. The lotion is quickly absorbed by the skin, feels silky soft and has a lot of nutrients. The treatment is also dermatologically tested with a sensitive skin. You can start moisturizing your skin on treatment day after removing the sterile patches.

After the treatment you don't need an additional recovery time. There might be some reactions on the injected spots, these include, slight swelling and tenderness which typically resolve within one or two days. The treated area must remain clean for the next 8-hours after the treatment. You should also avoid sweating and going into a sauna for the next 24-hours.

Meso Thread Treatments

During the treatment, meso threads are inserted into the skin with a specific technique. This treatment is ideal for a facial and body lifting and making the skin firmer. Meso threads are made of polydioxanone, an absorbable suture material which has been widely used in medicin and surgery for over 30-years. They are completely biodegradable and fully resolve after 80-180 days. The treatment doesn't thicken your skin rather it keeps its glow and elasticity. The results will be visible right after the treatment but the best results can be seen in about 2-6 months post-procedure. The meso thread treatment triggers the production of new collagen by increasing the number of fibroblasts.

When the treatment is over some patients experience feeling of a light pain or extra sensitive skin in the treated areas. Any sensitivities should cease within 7-10 days. The treatment or threads won't leave cuts or scars even on a thin skin.

RRS-HA Eyes - mesotherapy treatment for the skin around the eyes

RRS® HA Eyes is a mesotherapeutic treatment used to improve the eye contour aging and to reduce dark circles, fatigue and surface lines around the eyes. The treatment is done with a medical micro-needling instrument on the lower eyelids and sometimes on the upper eyelids as well.

​The treatment is usually pain-free due to a mild anestethic on the treated area. After the procedure it is normal to have some redness and light swelling on the skin but the recovery process is quick. The swelling has usually disappeared by the next day. If a mild bruising occures the healing process takes a little bit longer. You are able to get back into your daily routines a day after the treatment.

Plasma treatment 

Plasmolifting i.e. plasma treatment is based on patient's own blood, which is vacuum processed inside specially certified test-tubes. The treatment is fast and pain free. At first we take a bloodtest from the patient and then the specimen is centrifuged to separate plasma with platelets. After this, thin needles are used to inject platelet-rich plasma into the skin. This treatment can be applied on the skin of face and neck to lessen the appearance of wrinkles. Plasma is natures own elixir of youth by being rich in growth factors, and including a natural combination of hormones, proteins and vitamins. In order to receive the best possible results we recommend having the treatment few times, one month in between the sessions. The effects start few weeks after the first treatment and last up to 1-2 years.
